I am a jeweller and painter working in my garden studio at my home in East Lothian, Scotland. I have had a lifelong passion for drawing and painting and graduated as a mature student from Edinburgh College of Art in 2009 with a BA in Combined Studies (Art and Design). This course gave me the opportunity to explore other disciplines, one of which was jewellery. This eventually became an important and much loved part of my course and I have continued designing and creating precious metal jewellery since graduating. I use Sterling silver to make my jewellery, with the occasional use of 18ct gold and gemstones. I use recycled silver as well as ethically sourced gemstones. I enjoy techniques including saw piercing to create intricate designs. texturing and making pieces which include hinges and catches. With the exception of fine chain and earring posts and backs, all of my pieces are handcrafted. Most of my work is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
